What is the title of Pixar's Cars spin-off series featuring Mater's tall tales?

Mater's Tall Tales is the title of Pixar's Cars spin-off series featuring Mater's stories.

The series is officially known as Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales. Its short episodes present Mater recounting exaggerated adventures, often claiming that he played a central role in famous events. Lightning McQueen usually listens to the stories, and the episodes use visual gags to show Mater's elaborate imagination.

The first short, "Mater the Greater," debuted in 2008. Additional shorts followed in theatrical, television, and home-video contexts. The series expanded the Cars world without requiring the length or structure of a feature film.

Mater's Tall Tales is not the title of a fourth Cars feature film. The franchise's theatrical films are Cars, Cars 2, and Cars 3, while Cars Toons is a separate collection of animated shorts.
