What is the title of Pixar's 2022 Cars television series on Disney+?
Answer
Cars on the Road
Pixar's 2022 Cars television series on Disney+ is titled Cars on the Road.
The animated series follows Lightning McQueen and Mater as they travel across the United States to attend Mater's sister's wedding. Each episode presents a separate stop or adventure, allowing the show to explore settings and genres beyond the feature films' racing stories.
Cars on the Road premiered on September 8, 2022, the date promoted as Disney+ Day. The series consists of nine episodes and was produced by Pixar Animation Studios. Steve Purcell, Brian Fee, and Bobby Podesta served as executive producers.
The series title is distinct from the feature-film titles Cars, Cars 2, and Cars 3. It also differs from short-form Cars projects such as Mater's Tall Tales and Cars Toons. Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy returned as the voices of Lightning McQueen and Mater.
