What is the title of Pixar's 2008 short featuring Mater visiting Tokyo?

Tokyo Mater is the title of Pixar's 2008 short featuring Mater visiting Tokyo.

The short is part of Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales, a series built around Mater's exaggerated accounts of his supposed adventures. In Tokyo Mater, Mater claims to have traveled to Japan and challenged a Japanese drift racer named Kabuto.

The episode plays with differences between Mater's familiar tow-truck identity and the specialized drifting culture he encounters. As in other Tall Tales stories, the framing suggests that Mater may be embellishing events, but the short presents the adventure with the visual scale and energy of a racing spectacle.

Tokyo Mater was released in 2008 and was directed by John Lasseter. It should not be confused with Cars 2, which later used Tokyo as one of the locations for the World Grand Prix.
