Answer
Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1
Georgia O'Keeffe's 1932 painting of a white flower with a dark center is titled Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1.
The oil painting presents a close-up of a jimson weed, also called a moonflower or Datura flower. O'Keeffe enlarged botanical forms so that petals fill much of the picture surface, inviting viewers to inspect curves, folds, and tonal changes that might be missed at normal scale.
The work became especially famous after it sold at auction in 2014 for $44.4 million, including buyer's premium. That price made it the most expensive painting by a female artist at the time. The title can be confusing because the common plant name and the descriptive phrase both appear in it.
Black Iris and Red Canna are separate O'Keeffe flower subjects, not alternate titles for this painting.
