What is the title of Beyoncé’s 2008 album featuring the persona Sasha Fierce?

I Am... Sasha Fierce is Beyoncé’s 2008 album featuring the persona Sasha Fierce.

The album was released on November 18, 2008, as a double album. Its two discs were designed to contrast Beyoncé’s personal, reflective side with the more confident stage persona she called Sasha Fierce. The title therefore refers both to the album’s structure and to a performance identity.

The project produced major singles including “If I Were a Boy,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” “Halo,” and “Diva.” “Single Ladies” became especially influential for its black-and-white dance video and distinctive choreography.

The album title is sometimes shortened incorrectly to “Sasha Fierce,” but the official title is I Am... Sasha Fierce. Beyoncé later said she had retired the Sasha Fierce persona, describing it as a character associated with an earlier phase of her performances.
