What is the surname of Monsters, Inc. employee George Sanderson?

The Monsters, Inc. employee George’s surname is Sanderson.

George Sanderson is a recurring background character at the factory. He is a large orange monster who works as a scarer and repeatedly becomes involved in the company’s safety procedures after contact with human-world objects. His most memorable gags involve the CDA and the rapid removal of anything considered contaminated.

The character’s full name is easy to overlook because the film often refers to him simply as George. The surname appears in character listings and related production information. He is not one of the main heroes, so casual viewers may remember the visual jokes without knowing his name.

Sanderson should not be confused with Randall Boggs, Mike Wazowski, or Henry J. Waternoose. Those are separate characters with different roles: Randall is a rival scarer, Mike is Sulley’s partner, and Waternoose leads the company.
