What is the scheduled release date of X-Men '97 season 2's finale?

X-Men '97 season 2's finale was scheduled for release on August 12, 2026.

The second season launched with three episodes on July 1 and then followed a weekly Wednesday schedule. That timetable placed the ninth and final episode on August 12, completing a compact summer run on Disney+. The finale is titled “Survival of the Fittest.”

The date is a schedule fact, not the date on which the season was announced or the date of its world premiere. It is also distinct from the release dates of the episodes immediately before it, which arrived on the preceding Wednesdays. Because the series began with a three-episode batch, its finale arrived only six weeks after the premiere despite the season containing nine episodes.

Fans may also mix this up with the first season's finale, “Tolerance Is Extinction – Part 3,” which released in May 2024. Season 2's finale date belongs to the later Disney+ rollout and follows the show's time-traveling Apocalypse storyline.
