The player character in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is Eivor.
Eivor is a Viking raider who leaves Norway and leads a clan settlement in ninth-century England. The game allows the player to choose a masculine or feminine presentation for Eivor, but the character’s name remains Eivor. Eivor becomes connected with the Hidden Ones while confronting the Order of the Ancients, the organization that precedes the later Templars.
Valhalla was released in 2020 and follows 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Kassandra is Odyssey’s canonical protagonist, while Bayek is the central character in Origins. Arno Dorian belongs to Unity, which is set during the French Revolution. Valhalla combines raids, settlement development, political alliances, and exploration of England’s kingdoms with a modern-day storyline involving Layla Hassan. The title’s Viking setting is one of its most recognizable differences from earlier Mediterranean-focused entries.
