What is the name of the villainous weapons specialist in Pixar’s Cars 2?

Professor Zündapp is the villainous weapons specialist in Pixar’s Cars 2.

Professor Zündapp, voiced by Thomas Kretschmann, is an eccentric German-designed vehicle who works with Sir Miles Axlerod’s criminal scheme. He develops and uses advanced weapons technology, including the electromagnetic pulse device that helps the villains manipulate the World Grand Prix and target participants.

Cars 2 shifts the franchise toward an international spy adventure. Mater becomes involved with British spy Finn McMissile and intelligence agent Holley Shiftwell, while Lightning McQueen competes in a global racing series. Zündapp’s role connects the espionage plot to the race cars and the film’s oil-related conspiracy.

Finn McMissile is a hero, not the villain. Miles Axlerod is the principal mastermind, while Rod Redline is an American agent whose disappearance helps begin the spy storyline.
