Miles Axlerod is the villain who secretly controls the World Grand Prix plot in Pixar’s Cars 2.
Axlerod presents himself as a former oil tycoon who has converted to electric power and organizes the World Grand Prix to promote Allinol. His public image appears environmentally responsible, but the event is part of a larger scheme involving electromagnetic weapons and the manipulation of the alternative fuel’s reputation.
The espionage storyline gradually reveals that Axlerod is responsible for the conspiracy. He uses the races and broadcast coverage to create international publicity while directing attacks against cars using Allinol.
Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell are British intelligence agents investigating the plot, while Professor Zündapp assists the villains. Mater discovers crucial evidence despite not being a trained spy, and his observations help expose Axlerod’s identity.
