The underwater-themed Rocket League arena is called Aquadome.
Aquadome is a standard arena set inside a transparent underwater structure, with marine life and deep-sea scenery visible beyond the playing field. Psyonix introduced it in the Aquadome update on October 4, 2016, making it the first new standard arena released since Utopia Coliseum.
The arena’s design draws on ocean exploration and underwater research technology. Its surrounding scenery includes sea creatures and a sunken Galleon arena from Psyonix’s earlier game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. That connection makes Aquadome more than a visual change: it also serves as a small piece of the series’ history.
A common mix-up is confusing Aquadome with Salty Shores, another coastal setting. In 2024, Psyonix added a shallower-water variant called Aquadome (Salty Shallows), but the original underwater arena remains Aquadome. Mannfield, DFH Stadium, and Utopia Coliseum are standard arenas with different themes.
