What is the name of the Tangrowth who guides the restoration effort in Pokémon Pokopia?

The Tangrowth guiding Pokémon Pokopia’s restoration effort is called Professor Tangrowth.

Professor Tangrowth is a story-specific character rather than one of the human professors seen in the main Pokémon games. In the abandoned Kanto setting, Tangrowth has taken responsibility for studying the environment and investigating why humans and Pokémon left.

After Ditto begins exploring the damaged world, Professor Tangrowth becomes its main guide. The professor assigns tasks connected with restoring habitats and helping Pokémon populations recover. This gives the game a narrative reason for its building and environmental mechanics: every repaired area can make the world more suitable for Pokémon.

Players sometimes mistake Professor Tangrowth for a conventional Pokémon professor such as Professor Oak because both characters provide guidance and information. The distinction is important, however: Professor Tangrowth is itself a Tangrowth, and its name directly combines its species with its academic role.
