What is the name of the standard 4v4 casual mode in Rocket League?

The story behind the answer

The standard 4v4 casual mode in Rocket League is Chaos.

Chaos is the four-versus-four version of Rocket League’s regular car-soccer format, often called Soccar. Unlike Hoops, which replaces goals with basketball baskets, Chaos keeps the familiar rectangular pitch, goals, ball and boost system while adding a fourth player to each team.

The mode is designed for larger casual matches rather than the competitive playlists most associated with Rocket League esports. Standard competitive play usually centers on 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 matches, so Chaos can feel more crowded: rotations are harder to coordinate, challenges happen more often and defensive coverage breaks down quickly.

The other choices describe different experiences. Hoops is basketball-themed, Dropshot uses destructible hexagonal floor panels instead of conventional goals, and Rumble adds randomized power-ups. Chaos is therefore the canonical name for Rocket League’s standard four-player-per-team mode.
