What is the name of the school attended by Bart and Lisa in The Simpsons?

Bart and Lisa Simpson attend Springfield Elementary School in The Simpsons.

The fictional school is a recurring setting in the animated sitcom and serves children from kindergarten through sixth grade. Bart and Lisa are the school’s best-known students, but the building also includes characters such as Milhouse van Houten, Nelson Muntz, Martin Prince, and Sherri and Terri.

Springfield Elementary is portrayed as badly underfunded, making it a satirical depiction of problems associated with public education. Its staff includes Principal Seymour Skinner, teacher Elizabeth Hoover, janitor Groundskeeper Willie, music teacher Dewey Largo, and bus driver Otto Mann.

The school’s name has also appeared outside the fictional series. In 1994, students at a real elementary school in Greenwood, South Carolina, selected “Springfield Elementary” as its name without the school board initially realizing the connection to The Simpsons. That school was later renamed Benjamin Mays Elementary School in 2020.
