What is the name of the reporter who dated C.J. Cregg?

The reporter who dated C.J. Cregg was Danny Concannon. He is a senior White House correspondent for The Washington Post and one of C.J.'s most enduring romantic interests on The West Wing.

Danny and C.J. face an obvious professional conflict: she is the White House press secretary, while he is responsible for reporting on the administration. Their relationship is therefore marked by flirtation, secrecy, arguments about sources, and tension between personal loyalty and journalistic independence. C.J.'s colleagues also worry that her closeness to Danny could affect her ability to handle sensitive information.

Their story continues beyond the administration's daily work. In the series finale's flash-forward, Danny and C.J. are living together in Los Angeles and have a child. The show implies they eventually marry after the main timeline. Common mix-ups include Steve Spivak, Tom Donavan, and Bob Mayer, but Danny is the recurring White House reporter connected romantically with C.J.
