Chick Hicks is the racing villain who competes against Lightning McQueen in Pixar's Cars.
Chick is a veteran racer and perennial contender for the Piston Cup. He is characterized by aggressive driving, a willingness to use unfair tactics, and an intense rivalry with the retiring champion Strip Weathers, known as The King. His design is based on a 1979 Buick Regal.
The first Cars film builds toward a three-way final race between McQueen, Chick, and The King. Chick's collision with The King exposes his reckless approach, while McQueen chooses to help the damaged veteran instead of taking an uncontested victory.
