Thomasville is the racing town where Doc Hudson competed in Pixar’s Cars 3 flashbacks. It is shown as an important location in Doc’s earlier career and in the history of the Fabulous Hudson Hornet.
Lightning McQueen visits Thomasville while researching Doc’s past. There, he meets Smokey and learns about Doc’s former racing life, including the way a crash and changing racing culture ended Doc’s competitive career.
