What is the name of the production company that created Peppa Pig?

The story behind the answer

The production company that created Peppa Pig is Astley Baker Davies.

British animators Neville Astley, Mark Baker and Phil Davies founded Astley Baker Davies in 1994. The London-based studio developed Peppa Pig, which first aired in the United Kingdom in 2004, alongside other animated programmes such as The Big Knights and Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom.

Astley Baker Davies produced the earlier Peppa Pig series and became closely identified with the programme's distinctive simple artwork, short episodes and family-centred humour. Entertainment One acquired a 70% stake in the studio in 2015, bringing the property into a larger international children's-entertainment business.

A common mix-up is naming the broadcaster, distributor or later production partners instead. BBC Children's Productions was not the answer, and Aardman Animations did not create Peppa Pig. Production later shifted toward Karrot Animation and Hasbro Entertainment, but Astley Baker Davies remains the company historically credited with creating the series.
