Who voices Mummy Pig in the original UK series?

Morwenna Banks voices Mummy Pig in the original UK series of Peppa Pig.

Banks is an English actor, writer, comedian, and voice performer whose work spans television, radio, and animation. In Peppa Pig, she provides Mummy Pig’s voice and also voices several other characters, including Madame Gazelle and a number of animal parents. Her performance helps give Mummy Pig the calm, warm, and capable personality associated with Peppa’s mother.

Mummy Pig is usually shown working from home on a computer. Across the series, she is also portrayed as an author and volunteer firefighter, expanding her role beyond the familiar parent character. The show’s voice cast has changed for some child characters as performers have aged, which can cause confusion when viewers compare different seasons or language versions.

The question specifies the original UK series. That distinction matters because international dubs use different performers, and Peppa herself has had several UK voice actors. Harley Bird, John Sparkes, and Lily Snowden-Fine are associated with other roles or characters, not Mummy Pig’s original UK voice.
