The planet where the clone army was created is Kamino. This storm-covered ocean world is home to the Kaminoans, whose cloning facilities produced the Grand Army of the Republic.
In Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan Kenobi follows a clue connected to the bounty hunter Jango Fett and discovers Kamino, which has been mysteriously erased from the Jedi Archives. The Kaminoans explain that Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas commissioned the army years earlier. Jango Fett supplied the genetic template, and his unaltered clone, Boba Fett, was kept as his son.
Kamino is not merely a production site; its capital, Tipoca City, contains laboratories, nurseries, training areas, and military facilities. The clone troopers were genetically modified to mature twice as quickly as ordinary humans, allowing the Republic to deploy them during the Clone Wars.
A common mix-up is Geonosis, where the first major battle of the Clone Wars begins and where the Separatists maintain droid factories. Mustafar is associated with Anakin Skywalker’s defeat, while Dagobah becomes Yoda’s refuge.
