What is the name of the new racing rival introduced in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the new racing rival introduced in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Storm is a sleek, highly advanced next-generation racer who quickly surpasses many established Piston Cup competitors. His speed and modern technology make him a symbol of the changing racing world that threatens Lightning McQueen’s place in the sport.

Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer. He is sponsored by Ignitr, a fictional company, and is presented as a confident competitor whose focus is winning rather than respecting the older generation of racers.

Lightning’s struggle against Storm drives the film’s central conflict. Instead of defeating the younger racer solely through speed, Lightning learns from Doc Hudson’s legacy and helps Cruz Ramirez develop into a competitor capable of challenging Storm.
