The mobster known as “Little Carmine” is Carmine Lupertazzi Jr. He is the son and namesake of Carmine Lupertazzi Sr., the longtime boss of New York’s Lupertazzi crime family.

Little Carmine is introduced as a capo with criminal operations and legitimate business interests in Florida and New York. He initially seeks to succeed his father as boss, helping trigger a power struggle after Carmine Sr.’s death. His attempts to sound authoritative are frequently undercut by elaborate malapropisms, making him one of The Sopranos’ most distinctive comic characters.
