What is the name of the Mini model with a rear-hinged 'clubdoor'?

The Mini model with a rear-hinged “Clubdoor” is the Mini Clubman.

The Clubdoor was introduced on the first BMW-era Mini Clubman, launched for the 2008 model year. It is a small, rear-hinged access door on the right side of the car, positioned behind the conventional front passenger door. The design helped passengers reach the rear seats without making the Clubman a full four-door car.

The Clubman also used twin rear cargo doors, often called barn doors or splitdoors. This arrangement is easy to confuse with the Clubdoor: the Clubdoor is the side access door, while the rear doors open onto the luggage compartment. On right-hand-drive cars, the Clubdoor is on the road side, an arrangement that can be inconvenient when passengers exit.

The Clubman name originally belonged to a 1969 facelift of the classic Mini. BMW revived it for its longer estate-style Mini in 2007, and the model remained in production until 2024. Later Clubman generations adopted a conventional four-door layout but retained the distinctive rear cargo doors.
