What is the name of the martial art used by Jin Kazama?

The martial art used by Jin Kazama is karate. Jin first appeared in Tekken 3 as the son of Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama, and his earliest fighting style deliberately blended techniques associated with both parents and the Mishima family.

In Tekken 4, Jin rejected the Mishima style and adopted a more traditional form of karate, commonly identified as Kyokushin karate. This change reflected his growing hostility toward the Mishima family and his desire to establish an identity separate from his father and grandfather.

A common mix-up is calling Jin's style Mishima-ryu karate throughout the series. That description better fits characters such as Kazuya and Heihachi, while Jin's regular style changes across the games. Devil Jin is another exception: his moveset draws more heavily on Jin's earlier Mishima-based techniques and is often listed as unknown rather than simply karate.
