What is the name of the leader of the Autobots?
Answer
Optimus Prime
Answer
Optimus Prime
The leader of the Autobots is Optimus Prime.
Optimus Prime is the heroic supreme commander of the Autobots, the faction of sentient Cybertronians that opposes the Decepticons. Across many Transformers continuities, he represents courage, responsibility, justice, and peaceful coexistence with humans and other species.
His origin varies between adaptations. In several stories, he was once Orion Pax, a Cybertronian who became Optimus Prime after being chosen to carry the Matrix of Leadership. The Matrix is commonly portrayed as an artifact containing the wisdom or memories of earlier Autobot leaders.
Optimus is often confused with Ultra Magnus because Magnus serves as a commander and succeeds him in some stories. Bumblebee is another prominent Autobot, but usually functions as a scout, spy, or trusted younger companion rather than the faction’s overall leader. Megatron, meanwhile, is the principal leader of the opposing Decepticons. Optimus’s vehicle form also changes by continuity, although he is frequently depicted as a red-and-blue semi-truck.
