Porto Corsa is the Italian town where the second World Grand Prix race occurs in Pixar’s Cars 2.
Porto Corsa is a fictional coastal location designed with imagery associated with the Italian Riviera. Its race course runs through a picturesque harbor setting, contrasting with the neon streets of Tokyo and the urban environment used for the London finale.
Cars 2 organizes the World Grand Prix around three venues: Tokyo, Porto Corsa, and London. Lightning McQueen enters the event after being challenged by his friend Mater, while the competition becomes entangled with an international espionage plot.
Porto Corsa is not the same place as Radiator Springs, which is the main setting of the first Cars and a recurring home base for the characters. Tokyo is the opening venue, and London is the final venue, making Porto Corsa the middle stop.
