Guido is the Italian forklift who appears in Pixar's Cars.
Guido works at Luigi's Casa Della Tires in Radiator Springs and is Luigi's close companion. He speaks mostly Italian and is famous for his astonishing speed when changing racing tires. Although small compared with the race cars, Guido proves his ability during the film's Piston Cup sequence.
At the race, Guido changes all four of Lightning McQueen's tires in seconds, impressing the crowd and humiliating Chick Hicks. The moment gives the quiet forklift a memorable spotlight and reinforces one of Cars' recurring ideas: skill and worth are not determined by size or status.
Guido's name is often confused with Luigi's. Luigi is the yellow Fiat 500 who owns the tire shop, while Guido is the blue forklift. Guido returns in later Cars films and shorts, generally alongside Luigi and the other residents of Radiator Springs.
