What is the name of the high-tech rival racer Lightning McQueen faces in Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the high-tech rival racer Lightning McQueen faces in Cars 3. Storm represents a new generation of racers whose advanced training, design, and simulation technology make them faster than older competitors.

Storm is a sleek black-and-blue race car and the leading example of the next wave of Piston Cup competition. His success pushes Lightning to reconsider how he can remain competitive after a serious crash.

The conflict is not simply a contest between two drivers. Cars 3 contrasts experience and mentorship with data-driven preparation and newer engineering. Lightning eventually chooses to help Cruz Ramirez race Storm, turning his rivalry into a transition toward teaching and supporting another driver.
