Jackson Storm is the high-speed rival who challenges Lightning McQueen in Pixar’s Cars 3.
Storm represents a new generation of racers built with advanced technology and modern training methods. His performance quickly changes the competitive landscape and makes established racers, including McQueen, seem less dominant.
The conflict begins when Storm repeatedly defeats veteran competitors. McQueen attempts to keep pace, but a crash leads his sponsor to support a major training program. Cruz Ramirez becomes his trainer and eventually an important partner in the story.
Jackson Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer in the English-language version. He is different from Chick Hicks, the aggressive rival from the first Cars, and Francesco Bernoulli, the Italian racer featured prominently in Cars 2.
