What is the name of the hammerhead shark in Finding Nemo?

The story behind the answer

The hammerhead shark in Finding Nemo is named Anchor.

Anchor is one of the three sharks who try to follow a vegetarian lifestyle. He attends the group’s “Fish Are Friends, Not Food” meetings with Bruce, a great white shark, and Chum, a mako shark. The three friends live in a sunken submarine and attempt to resist their natural predatory instincts.

Anchor’s name is a pun on both his hammerhead shape and the nautical setting of the shark hideout. During the story, the group’s self-control collapses after Bruce smells blood, forcing Marlin and Dory to flee. The other shark names are often confused: Bruce is the great white, Chum is the mako, and Anchor is the hammerhead.
