The girls-only wilderness group Leslie Knope founds in Parks and Recreation is the Pawnee Goddesses. Leslie creates it with Ann Perkins and April Ludgate after the boys-only Pawnee Rangers reject a girl.
The group appears in “Pawnee Rangers,” the fourth episode of season four, which aired on October 13, 2011. Ron Swanson leads the Pawnee Rangers, a Boy Scout-style organization, while Andy Dwyer serves as his assistant. Leslie forms the Goddesses partly to challenge Ron and prove that her group can offer a better experience.
Their camping trip is deliberately contrasted with the Rangers’ harsh weekend. The Goddesses stay in a cabin with puppies, candy, and pillow fights, while the Rangers struggle with basic shelter and canned beans. The rivalry eventually softens when the Goddesses allow the boys to join them.
A common mix-up is calling the group the Pawnee Rangers, but that is Ron’s organization. The Goddesses are the girls-only counterpart, and the episode ends with Leslie helping Ron create another group, the Swansons, for children who want survival skills.
