Allinol is the fuel at the center of Pixar's Cars 2 plot.
In the film, businessman Miles Axlerod promotes Allinol as a clean alternative fuel and uses the World Grand Prix to demonstrate it. The race visits locations including Tokyo, Porto Corsa, and London, giving the fuel a global promotional platform.
The conspiracy depends on a hidden danger: Allinol causes cars to explode when exposed to a particular electromagnetic pulse. The resulting crashes are intended to discredit alternative fuels and create demand for oil. Finn McMissile, Holley Shiftwell, and Mater investigate the sabotage while the racers compete.
Allinol is a fictional substance created for the film. It should not be confused with Rust-eze, the sponsor of Lightning McQueen, or Dinoco, a fictional petroleum company and racing sponsor. The fuel's name is central to Cars 2, but it does not appear as a real commercial fuel outside the film's fictional world.
