The Formula One race held in Singapore is the Singapore Grand Prix.

The modern Singapore Grand Prix takes place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, a temporary street circuit built around the city-state's waterfront district. It made Formula One history in 2008 as the championship's first night race, with the circuit illuminated by powerful floodlights so the event could be held after sunset.

The race was also Formula One's first modern street race in Asia. Fernando Alonso won the inaugural 2008 edition, although the result was later overshadowed by the “Crashgate” scandal, in which Renault team management was found to have instructed Nelson Piquet Jr. to deliberately crash.

Singapore's humid conditions, 19 corners and close walls make it one of the most physically demanding races on the calendar. The event is distinct from the Chinese, Japanese and Malaysian Grands Prix: those races are held in Shanghai, Suzuka and Sepang respectively. The Singapore Grand Prix's contract was extended through at least 2028.
