What is the name of the fictional musical that Jenna Maroney stars in on Broadway?

The fictional Broadway musical starring Jenna Maroney is Mystic Pizza: The Musical. In 30 Rock, it is presented as a stage adaptation of the 1988 romantic comedy film Mystic Pizza.

The musical is introduced at the start of season 2, when Jenna returns from performing on Broadway. The role required her to eat pizza during performances, and the show jokes that this caused her to gain a substantial amount of weight. Jenna's anxiety about her changed appearance becomes a recurring comic storyline.

The title is a parody of Broadway's practice of adapting recognizable films into stage musicals. The original Mystic Pizza starred Julia Roberts, Annabeth Gish, and Lili Taylor, and follows three young women working at a pizza restaurant in Mystic, Connecticut.

The joke later became unexpectedly prophetic. A real Mystic Pizza stage musical was developed years after 30 Rock, with music by Melissa Etheridge. That production premiered at Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine in 2021, although it was separate from the fictional Broadway show in the sitcom.
