Narnia is the fictional land ruled by King Tirian in The Last Battle.
Published in 1956, The Last Battle is the seventh and final published book in C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia. Tirian is the last king of Narnia, and the story follows his struggle against deception, invasion, and the forces threatening the kingdom.
The novel includes several returning characters and brings the series toward its concluding vision of Narnia. It introduces the false Aslan plot, in which a character is used to deceive others, and it revisits the series’ recurring themes of loyalty, truth, judgment, and hope.
Narnia is often confused with neighboring lands in the series. Archenland lies south of Narnia, Calormen is a powerful empire farther south, and Telmar is associated with the history of Narnia’s human rulers. Tirian, however, is specifically king of Narnia.
