Evie Frye is the female protagonist of Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
Evie is an English Assassin who operates in London during the Industrial Revolution alongside her twin brother, Jacob Frye. The siblings arrive in London in 1868 and work to weaken Templar control over the city. Evie is generally associated with stealth, investigation, and searching for Pieces of Eden, while Jacob focuses more heavily on direct gang conflict.
Syndicate was developed by Ubisoft Quebec and released in 2015. Its London map includes districts such as Westminster, the City of London, Southwark, and Lambeth. The game introduced the Rooks, a gang that the Frye twins recruit and develop during their campaign against rival forces.
Evie is not the first female playable Assassin in the franchise. Aveline de Grandpré stars in Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, and other games feature women in major playable or narrative roles. Evie's distinctive feature is that Syndicate lets players switch between her and Jacob during much of the main story.
