What is the name of the doubles partner of Bob Bryan?

The story behind the answer

Mike Bryan is the doubles partner of Bob Bryan. The identical American twins formed one of tennis’s most successful teams, competing together for nearly two decades before retiring from professional tennis in 2020.

Bob and Mike won 119 ATP doubles titles, including 16 Grand Slam championships. Their major victories included six Australian Opens, two French Opens, three Wimbledons and five US Opens. They also won Olympic gold in 2012 and completed the career Golden Slam in doubles by winning all four majors and Olympic gold during their careers.

The brothers were known collectively as the Bryan brothers, or simply the Bryans. Because they are identical twins and shared the same surname, quiz players sometimes confuse which brother is being referenced. Bob generally played on the left side of the court, while Mike usually played on the right, although both were accomplished all-court doubles players.

Their partnership was unusually long-lasting and successful, making Mike the canonical answer whenever Bob Bryan’s regular doubles partner is asked.
