What is the name of the dog-like Yo-kai that wears a raincoat?

The story behind the answer

The dog-like Yo-kai that wears a raincoat is Komasan. His name comes from komainu, the lion-dog guardians traditionally found at Japanese shrines.

Komasan originally guarded a rural shrine for centuries. After the shrine was demolished, he traveled to the city and struggled to understand modern life. His shy, curious personality and country-bumpkin speech quickly made him one of Yo-kai Watch’s most recognizable characters.

Komasan is usually depicted with pale fur, blue flame-like eyebrows, red swirl markings, and a light-blue belly and tail. His younger brother, Komajiro, is a frequent source of confusion: Komajiro is also a lion-dog Yo-kai, but he is more confident and adapts to city life more easily.

Komasan appears throughout the games, anime, manga, films, and spin-offs, often alongside Jibanyan as a franchise mascot.
