What is the name of the Covenant capital city seen in Halo 2?

High Charity is the Covenant capital city seen in Halo 2. It is a massive mobile station and the political and religious center of the Covenant alliance.

In Halo 2, High Charity serves as the setting for major events involving the Prophets, the Arbiter, and the Covenant’s internal crisis. The station is built around a captured Forerunner Dreadnought, which the Covenant treats as a sacred object. Its movement is enabled by the Dreadnought’s systems and Covenant technology.

High Charity’s importance extends beyond Halo 2. During Halo 3, the Flood takes control of the station after the Gravemind uses it as a vehicle to reach the Ark. This later transformation makes High Charity one of the franchise’s most significant locations. It should not be confused with Sanghelios, the homeworld of the Sangheili, or New Mombasa, a human city on Earth.
