What is the name of the character played by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill?

The character played by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill is Beatrix Kiddo.

Beatrix Kiddo is the protagonist of Quentin Tarantino’s two-part martial-arts revenge saga, Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Kill Bill: Volume 2. She is also called “the Bride,” a nickname linked to the wedding-rehearsal massacre that begins the story. After being attacked by her former assassination-team colleagues and left for dead, she awakens from a coma and begins hunting those responsible.

The character’s identity is initially withheld in the first film, where her name is obscured with censor bleeps. Volume 2 develops her history, including her former relationship with Bill and her training under the martial-arts master Pai Mei. Her journey combines revenge, survival and the attempt to reclaim a life taken from her.

Common mix-ups involve other Tarantino characters played by Thurman. Mia Wallace is her role in Pulp Fiction, while Daisy Domergue is played by Jennifer Jason Leigh in The Hateful Eight. Beatrix Kiddo remains Thurman’s defining character in the Kill Bill films.
