What is the name of the boss mob found in The End?

The boss mob found in The End is the Ender Dragon. It appears on the central End island and is usually considered Minecraft’s final boss.

Players reach The End through an activated End portal, typically located in a stronghold. During the battle, the Ender Dragon flies around the island, attacks players, and draws power from end crystals mounted on obsidian pillars. Destroying those crystals prevents it from regenerating health.

Defeating the dragon activates the exit portal, provides a large experience reward, and opens access to an End gateway leading toward the outer islands. Players can also respawn it later by placing four end crystals around the exit portal.

A common mix-up is the Wither, which is Minecraft’s other major boss and can be summoned by players in the Overworld, Nether, or End. The Elder Guardian is a powerful ocean monument mob, while the Ravager—sometimes called an illager beast—is a raid enemy, not the boss of The End.
