What is the name of the Assassin's Creed protagonist who lives in Renaissance Italy?

Ezio Auditore is the Assassin's Creed protagonist who lives in Renaissance Italy.

Ezio is the central character of Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations. He begins as a young Florentine nobleman and becomes an Assassin after his family is betrayed and executed.

His story moves through important Italian locations, including Florence, Venice, and Rome. The trilogy follows his transformation from a talented but inexperienced young man into a senior leader of the Assassin Brotherhood.

Players sometimes confuse Ezio with Altaïr, the protagonist of the first game, or with Connor and Edward Kenway, who appear in later historical settings. Ezio remains one of the franchise's most prominent characters because his life is depicted across three major games and several related short films and books.
