What is the name of the Assassin order's predecessor in Assassin's Creed Origins?

The Hidden Ones are the predecessor of the Assassin order in Assassin's Creed Origins.

Origins tells the story of Bayek of Siwa and Aya, who establish the Hidden Ones in response to the abuses of the Order of the Ancients. The organization is presented as the early form of the later Assassin Brotherhood, with principles centered on protecting people and opposing control through secrecy and manipulation.

The game was released in 2017 and is set mainly in Ptolemaic Egypt during the first century BCE. Bayek is a Medjay, a local protector, while Aya becomes a major leader in the emerging organization. Their activities help shape the creed and methods associated with later Assassins.

The Order of the Ancients is the opposing organization in Origins and later becomes linked to the Templars. The word Assassins is therefore not the game's name for this earliest formal group.
