Answer
Destiny's Child
Answer
Destiny's Child
Beyoncé joined Destiny's Child before beginning her solo career.
The group formed in Houston, Texas, in the early 1990s under the name Girl's Tyme. Beyoncé performed with childhood friend LaTavia Roberson, and the lineup later developed into Destiny's Child after changes in management and membership.
Destiny's Child became one of the best-selling female groups in music history. Its best-known members during its peak were Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. Major hits included “Say My Name,” “Survivor,” and “Bootylicious.”
The group went on hiatus in 2002, when its members pursued individual projects, and formally ended in 2006. Beyoncé's first solo album, Dangerously in Love, was released in 2003. Destiny's Child is sometimes confused with Girl's Tyme, but Girl's Tyme was the group's earlier name.
