The alternative fuel used in Pixar’s Cars 2 is called Allinol.
Sir Miles Axlerod presents Allinol as a clean alternative fuel during the World Grand Prix. The fuel becomes central to the film’s mystery because its public image hides a dangerous plan involving the racers who use it.
The plot connects the World Grand Prix, television coverage, and a series of attacks against cars running on Allinol. Mater investigates the conspiracy after being drawn into the activities of British agents Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell.
Allinol is fictional and should not be confused with Rust-eze or Dinoco. Rust-eze is Lightning McQueen’s sponsor in the series, while Dinoco is a separate racing brand. Cars 2 uses the invented fuel to combine motorsport with a spy-film storyline.
