What is the name of the alien Yo-kai that resembles a UFO?

The alien-like Yo-kai that resembles a UFO is USApyon. His rabbit-eared astronaut suit and fascination with space make him one of the series’ clearest science-fiction-inspired characters.

USApyon is introduced as Hailey Anne Thomas’s partner in Yo-kai Watch 3. He helps her establish the Hapyon Detective Agency, where they investigate mysteries involving humans and Yo-kai. Although his appearance suggests an extraterrestrial visitor, USApyon is a Yo-kai rather than a literal alien.

Before becoming a Yo-kai, USApyon was an otter named Chibi. He was associated with rocket scientist Dr. Hughley and became connected to the scientist’s dreams of space exploration. His story gives the character more emotional depth than his comic astronaut design initially suggests.

The name combines “USA,” “usagi” (rabbit), and “pyonpyon,” a Japanese bouncing sound. USApyon is especially easy to confuse with Robonyan, but Robonyan is a robotic version of Jibanyan.
