Tana is Rory’s Yale roommate before Paris moves in. Tana is one of the students Rory meets during her first period at Yale, and her youthful behavior contrasts with Rory’s more serious personality.
Rory’s Yale housing changes as the series progresses. Tana and Rory share a room with other students, while Paris eventually becomes Rory’s more prominent roommate. Paris’s move creates an unusual living arrangement because Rory’s former academic rival becomes part of her daily college life.
