Muhammad Ali's daughter who became a professional boxer was Laila Ali.
Born Laila Amaria Ali in 1977, she began boxing professionally in 1999 after first building a career as a manicurist and owning a nail salon. Her father initially opposed the idea, partly because he considered boxing too dangerous for women, but she established her own reputation in the ring.
Ali retired in 2007 with an undefeated 24–0 record, including 21 wins by knockout. She held multiple women's world titles, including championships from the WBC, WIBA, IWBF and IBA. A common mix-up is confusing her with her sister Hana Ali, who did not become a professional boxer.
