What is the name of Mater's spin-off series of tall tales from Pixar's Cars universe?

Mater's Tall Tales is the name of Mater's spin-off series from Pixar's Cars universe.

The series, officially titled Cars Toons: Mater's Tall Tales, consists of short animated episodes centered on Tow Mater. In each story, Mater claims to have taken part in an extraordinary adventure, such as becoming a fire truck, a stunt performer, or an astronaut. Lightning McQueen usually appears as his friend and listener.

The title plays on the phrase “tall tale,” meaning an entertaining story that is greatly exaggerated. The episodes deliberately leave room for the joke that Mater may be telling the truth, even when his claims sound impossible. This storytelling device distinguishes the shorts from the more continuous plots of the feature films.

The shorts expanded the Cars cast and helped Disney and Pixar present the characters in a shorter format. They are often grouped under the broader Cars Toons label, but Mater's Tall Tales is the specific title of the Mater-led series.
