What is the name of Mater’s girlfriend in Pixar’s Cars 2?

Holley Shiftwell is Mater’s girlfriend in Pixar’s Cars 2.

Holley Shiftwell is a British spy and intelligence agent who meets Mater during the international events surrounding the World Grand Prix. She initially mistakes his accidental behavior for deliberate undercover skill, while Mater develops a genuine romantic interest in her.

The character combines the roles of field agent, technical expert, and romantic lead. She supplies equipment and information during the investigation into the plot involving Allinol and the race competitors. Her spy identity also gives Mater a partner who understands the dangerous mission better than he does.

Holley is voiced by Emily Mortimer in the English-language version of the film. She is distinct from Sally Carrera, Lightning McQueen’s close friend and romantic partner in Radiator Springs. Cars 2 expands the series beyond its original small-town racing setting, and Holley is one of the characters who anchors that international spy-story structure.
